Quebecor’s Videotron announced an expanded list of roaming destinations for its Canada-International plan.
Per a press release shared by the wireless provider, it’s adding 28 more destinations to the plan, taking the total number of roaming destinations to 100.
New destinations include Ecuador, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka and more. You can find a full list of destinations here. Current subscribers will get the new destinations added to their plan for no extra charge.
Additionally, Videotron said it’s increasing the plan’s data cap to 45GB. The plan costs $75/mo but can be reduced to $60 if customers bundle internet and mobility services. You can find the Canada-International plan here.
Videotron says that the Canada-International plan is backed by its lifetime price guarantee, which means customers keep the same basic price before discounts and credits for as long as they have the plan.
The company’s improved international plan comes as the CRTC takes a closer look at high roaming rates. The Big Three telcos, Rogers, Bell and Telus, just filed responses with the CRTC claiming they already offer affordable roaming rates while also promising new, cheaper roaming options are coming next year.
