Google’s November 2024 update for Pixel phones is here… sort of. The search giant hasn’t actually released the update yet, but that hasn’t stopped U.S. carrier Verizon from publishing the details.
Spotted by Android Authority, Verizon published a changelog for the November Pixel update on its website before its release. Interestingly, the page notes a November 5th release date for the security patch, though Google hasn’t officially said anything yet.
The changelog itself lists fairly vague details about what’s included. Further, what’s in the update seems pretty minor, mostly bug fixes and no major new features. Check out the full changelog below:
- Security
- Provides the most up to date Android security patches on your device.
- Bluetooth
- Addressed an issue with Bluetooth range under certain conditions.
- Camera
- Addressed an issue with camera tilt when zooming between cameras under certain conditions.
- Sensors
- Addressed an issue that occasionally prevented Adaptive brightness from activating in certain conditions.
- Touch
- Addressed an issue when pressing the keyboard dismiss button in certain conditions.
- User interface
- General improvements for performance and stability in certain UI transitions and animations.
- Display & Graphics
- Resolved an issue that caused white dots to flash under certain conditions.
It’s not clear when, exactly, the November update will land, but it will likely come in the next few days.
