Alleged images of what could be the successor to the Nintendo Switch have appeared online. The renderings, first spotted on Weibo and then re-shared on Reddit, showcase a larger device with an 8-inch screen, magnetic Joy-Cons, and USB-C ports on both the top and bottom.
It’s worth noting that the Reddit poster now indicates that he received a shell model from an accessory manufacturer “at great cost,” and reverse-designed it to create a CAD model.
Additionally, the leak indicates that the Switch will have 12GB of RAM, HDMI 2.1, and 256GB of internal storage. Despite the leak seeming fake, VideoGamesChronicle’s source, who has been briefed on Nintendo’s plans, says that these match what the company has told its partners.

Previous rumours indicate that the upcoming Nintendo Switch will have an LCD screen instead of an OLED display to keep prices down. However, the new dock will reportedly support 4K resolution.
VGC claims that the device will be announced before the end of the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31st. However, don’t expect a full release before April 2025.
