Unpacking all the announcements from Apple’s fall iPhone event [Video]

With all the Apple Watches, AirPods and iPhones shown off, there's a lot to go over

I’m back in Canada, and I’m exhausted from covering this year’s Apple fall hardware showcase, but even my tired eyes can’t stop me from being excited about this year’s announcements. While some online might be disappointed that the phones are still similar-looking to previous years, I’m super excited because this year, all the iPhone announcements are super camera-focused, and that’s my favourite part of any phone.

From the new Camera Control button to the revamped photographic styles, there’s much to love if you’re a fan of mobile photography. On the video side, there are some nice improvements as well, including 4K 120 fps recording and a really impressive way to edit your audio after you shoot a video so you can make sure your subjects sound great.

The Apple Watch also received a nice redesign that slims it out and increases the screen size. The screen itself now has improvements that make it appear more watch-like from all angles.

Finally, two new pairs of baseline AirPods called AirPods 4 have been redesigned to fit better in more ears, and the more expensive version has some nice improvements, like active noise cancellation. Second-generation AirPods Pros are also slated to get an update that will turn them into over-the-counter hearing aids, but it’s unclear when that feature will reach Canada. If you want to learn more about the AirPods Pro hearing enhancement features that are already available, you can read my full explanation here.
