Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra rumoured to get design and camera update

The handset is also expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4

Finally, the S25 Ultra will get a much-needed design update.

Android Headlines working with @OnLeaks shared renders of the upcoming Samsung flagship.

The biggest changes to the design are flat sides all around the handset, similar to the Pixel 9 or the iPhone design. Samsung’s other S series devices have followed this design update, so it’s weird that we’ve had to wait this long to see the Ultra model to get this update as well.

Further, the S25 Ultra is expected to get a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN3 senor for its ultrawide camera, a 200-megapixel H2 primary shooter, and a 10-megapixel IM754 sensor for its 3x telephoto. It will still get the same 5x telephoto shooter with a 50-megapixel IMX584 sensor. Though most of these cameras are at least slightly updated, the ultrawide is getting the biggest update. Additionally, the S25 Ultra is lighter than its predecessor, only weighing 219g, compared to the 232g S24 Ultra. And with a lighter body, it’ll have slimmer bezels, the same 6.9-inch screen size and the following dimensions: 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm.

The handset will also sport a 5,000mAh battery with up to 45W charging, similar to its last three predecessors. Further, it’ll have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, which Qualcomm has yet to announce — thought we expect the chip maker to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 at its Snapdragon Summit in mid-October.

Android Headlines and OnLeaks expect the S25 series to get announced the week of January 13th, right after CES.
