Google Essentials brings Google services, games and apps to Windows PC

It'll come to more Windows PCs in the coming months

The Google app is now called Google Essentials and is coming to Windows laptops and PCs. The app lets users discover and install Google services, like Google Play Games.

Google Essentials will be available first on HP Windows consumer and gaming laptops, including Spectre, Envy, Pavillion, Omen, Victus, and more.

Users can access Google Essentials from the start menu and switch between their handset and laptop. The app can run games like Clash of Clans, open apps like Google Photos and Google Messages, and create shortcuts to tools like Google Docs, Drive, and Calendar. It also gives access to a two-month trial of Google One 100GB.
