One new Series S and two new Series X options are now available for pre-order

At the Xbox Games Showcase in June, Microsoft revealed three new Xbox Series X/S models with a general “holiday 2024” window. Now, the company has confirmed that they will launch on October 15th in many markets, including Canada.

First, there’s the Xbox Series S – 1TB in Robot White, which is double the 512GB storage space of the standard all-digital console. This will cost $449, versus $379 for the standard model. (It’s worth noting that a 1TB black Series S debuted last holiday season, also for $449.)

Next up is the Xbox Series X – 1TB Digital Edition in Robot White. This means that like the Series S, it cannot play physical media. The digital Series X is priced at $599 — $50 less from the standard, disc drive-equipped Series X.

Finally, we have the Xbox Series X – 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition. It’s a regular Series X model that features double the storage capacity and a celestial-inspired black design. This is priced at $799.

All three models are now available for pre-order using the above links.

They come ahead of a sizeable release calendar for Xbox that includes Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in October (releasing on PlayStation as well, but day one on Xbox Game Pass), Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in November and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in December (though it will also come to PS5 next year). Avowed, a new game from Obsidian (The Outer Worlds), was delayed to February 2025 to give it some breathing room from those and other titles in the holiday season.

The new Xbox Series X/S models also follow a Game Pass price increase.
