Koodo customers will want to keep their eyes out for special offers from Telus going out via text message. I just received a text from Telus offering me a $50/100GB 5G plan or a $65/200GB 5G+ plan.
The text message also notes that I can get a new phone with the plans through Telus’ financing.
In order to claim the offer, customers need to click the link included in the text message, enter the promo code included in the message, and their 10-digit phone number as a verification code.
I won’t be going for either of these plans as my current $45/75GB Koodo plan is cheaper and gives me way more data than I need, which makes it extra funny that the text offer starts off by saying I can “save more when switching to Telus.” But just because these offers aren’t good for me doesn’t mean they aren’t good offers.
To put these special plans in perspective, Telus’ closest current in-market offers include a $75/75GB 5G plan and a $95/200GB 5G+ plan. Both of those are quite a bit more expensive than what Telus offered to me.
Anyway, if you get one of these texts from Telus, check the offers against your current plan and consider making the switch if it’ll save you money or get you a better plan. Otherwise, wait for a better deal.
