The Sportsnet Now app is launching for PlayStation 4 on April 11th, the first day of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Sportsnet Now is one of two apps that provides streaming NHL content to Canadian users, the other being the Rogers NHL Live app.
Over 300 regular season NHL games are broadcast through Sportsnet Now, plus the entire playoffs. Hockey’s not the only sport available on the platform, either. There’s also MLB, NBA and Premier League games, among other things.
Beyond 720p HD livestreaming of Sportsnet channels, there’s also video clips, highlights and live ‘overflow’ content from partners such as CBC and City.
The subscription service costs $24.99 per month solo, but it’s included for free if you’re already a Sportsnet TV subscriber.
Sportsnet NOW is also available in the iOS App Store, the Google Play Store, Apple TV 4th Gen and above, Chromecast, Xbox One and desktop.
Sportsnet is owned by Rogers Media.
