Google Assistant, Google’s artificial intelligence-powered personal helper, is coming to Android Nougat and Marshmallow handsets, the company announced today ahead of the start Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
Android users in the U.S. will be the first to gain access to the program when it starts rolling out south of the border later this week. English speaking Canadian users, as well those who speak English in Australia and the U.K, will gain access to Google Assistant at a later date. The search tool will be available on all Android smartphones running Google Play services and unforked versions of 7.0 and 6.0.
