If you thought the Pokémon Go craze has fizzled then think again. Woodbine Racetrack currently has a job opening for a “Pokemon Go Administrator.”
The details of the employment opportunity is to work with the entertainment group on “an exciting and innovative event” related to a Pokemon Go inspired job fair.
“At Woodbine Racetrack we have 3 PokeStops as well as one Pokemon Training gym. The idea is for job seekers to come meet the WEG Recruitment team, get familiar with some of our departments and drop off a resume. All the while taking advantage of wild Pokemon appearing from the Pokemon Lures that will be set throughout the job fair,” reads the listing’s description.
While there is no indication to the wage the Pokemon Go Administrator will be granted, the main responsibilities are to drop lures at the PokeStops every half hour to “attract crowds of non-job seekers.”
This move by Woodbine is certainly an interesting way to find new talent.
Pokémon Go has been officially available in Canada since July 17th. The game, which is developed by Niantic, has been downloaded by millions around the world and has reportedly made $200 million in revenue in its first month in app stores.
