There’s a trend growing in Canada that sees carriers quietly releasing uber affordable entry-level devices. This has happened on several occasions with Koodo Mobile latest to go this route with the LG K4.
Never heard of the K4? This Android-powered device was recently announced at CES 2016 and is targeted the entry level crowd. According to LG, the K Series of devices, which there is also a higher spec’d K10, “was designed with a premium look and feel and offers advanced camera features without a premium price.”
The LTE-enabled K4 is available now at Koodo and runs Android 5.1, features a 4.5-inch 480 x 854 display, 1.1GHz quad-core processor, 8 GB internal storage, 1 GB RAM, 1940 mAh battery, with a 5-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
All this entry-level goodness for the ripe price of $120 no-term.
Update – March 9th: Wind Mobile has also added the K4 to its lineup. The Android is priced at $149 outright or as low as $0 in the WindTab.
Update – March 11: Bell will be releasing the LG K4 on March 24th.
