So far, HTC has been relatively quiet heading into Mobile World Congress.
While much of the recent attention on the company has focused on the upcoming One M10, the company’s imminent announcement will mainly focus on the Vive Pre VR headset. According to newly leaked images, HTC will also unveil a new low-end smartphone.
Courtesy of reputable device leaker Evan Blass, HTC will reportedly launch a device called the A16. It’s set to be available in six different colour options, including black, grey, white, and several speckled variations.
In addition, Twitter user LlabTooFeR, who is also known for their HTC leaks, states the A16 will be powered by a Snapdragon 210 processor, and will include a 5-inch 720p display, 8 megapixel main camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage, 1.5GB RAM and a 2,200 mAh battery.
For comparisons sake, the A16 looks to be an upgrade over last year’s Desire 626s with its 5-inch 720p display, 1.1GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 8MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera and a 2,000mAh battery.
More details will be revealed when HTC officially announces the A16 device at MWC.
