The Apple Watch was released in Canada on April 24th, but while stock was limited purchases were kept to the company’s online store. To get people to try it out, Apple required them to make in-store “try-on” reservations, which added a retail component to the experience without bifurcating the very meagre inventory.
After two months of sales, with Watch orders surpassing “expectation in every way,” according to the company, Apple began selling the Watch in-store, but online reservations were still needed. Now, according to 9to5Mac and confirmed Toronto’s Eaton Centre Apple Store, anyone can now walk into an Apple Store and try on and buy an Apple Watch without a reservation.
Last week, Apple began selling the Watch Sport and Watch at Best Buy Canada.
