Samsung rumoured to launch the ATIV SE Windows Phone this month

Samsung, like many leading manufacturers, hasn’t produced a flagship Windows Phone for many months. There have been rumours that we’ll see another ATIV hit the market and this looks to be true. Reputable device leaker @evleaks previously outed a Samsung Windows Phone with Verizon branding — this is expected to be the ATIV SE and a new report by The Verge suggests this will launch sometime this month.

As for specs, the LTE-enabled ATIV SE is expected to have a similar design as the Galaxy S4 and sport a 5-inch display (1920×1080), 13MP camera, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and will reportedly upgrade to OS 8.1 after its launch.

Unfortunately, there is no word yet on pricing or a Canadian release. In the past, Rogers has been the front-runner in Windows Phone devices and launched several exclusive products. When Microsoft kicked off Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 the two company formed a partnership that declared Rogers to be “preferred Canadian wireless partner.”
