SwiftKey Note passes one million downloads

SwiftKey Note is a hit.

On the day it posted its first significant update, the UK-based company announced it has passed a million downloads on iPhone and iPad. Its success can be attributed to SwiftKey’s growing popularity on Android, making it more recognizable in the mainstream, but it likely selection by Apple as Editors Choice that gave it that extra push.

SwiftKey Note, for the uninitiated, is a simple note-taking app for iPhone and iPad that takes advantage of the company’s excellent autocorrect and natural language algorithms, combined with extensive Evernote support and a host of formatting features.

Version 1.7, introduced today, adds quick strikethrough formatting for iOS 7 users and a host of bugs related to languages, copy/paste and more.

The company says that this first update to SwiftKey Note is “just the tip of the iceberg,” and we can look forward to many more excellent features. Looking forward to it!
