Quick update for those heading to get away from the cold and heading off to Cuba. Thanks to “ongoing negotiations with international telecom suppliers,” Bell has dropped the price of its roaming rates for Cuba. Effective today, the “significant decreases” impact data, voice and text roaming for those basking in the Cuban sun.
Bell states that customers can now purchase data for as low as $0.60 per MB, voice calling for $0.50/minute and texts for $0.15/each. In addition, Bell has a $45 package that gives 60 minutes of voice, unlimited incoming and 200 sent text messages. Pay-per-use roaming in Cuba is $2 a minute for voice and $8 per MB of data.
