Pebble has continued to work hard to improve its already-excellent smartwatch. The company recently released a new version of its Android app that brings Google Hangouts support to the table, while fixing some important bugs along the way.
Hangouts support has been coming for a long time, as the shipping version of Pebble for Android supported Google Talk. Other additions to version 1.8.2 of the app is “Enhancements for third-party app developers,” another facet of the smartwatch the company is intent on improving.
Pebble released an SDK for developers earlier this year, allowing two-way communication between a smartphone and the watch. Early app examples include Snake, 7-Minute Workout and others.
If you’re interested in purchasing a Pebble smartwatch, the company recently told us it had almost finished fulfilling the orders of its Kickstarter backers, and would be beginning to fulfil preorders in the coming months.
