Rovio’s Angry Birds game has taken on a life of it’s own and is practically on every mobile platform possible. On May 19th Rovio’s CEO Mikael Hed said Angry Birds was downloaded over 200 million times. New reports from Forbes states that Rovio made $20 million in revenue last quarter and Angry Birds passed over the 250 million download mark, with a goal to reach a billion downloads by the end of next year. In addition to all the plush toys, cookbooks and shirts, Rovio is going to be releasing their first full length animation film and have hired David Maisel, the former chairman of Marvel Studios as executive producer. Sounds like Angry Birds will be around for a few more years.
