Sony just can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to their online security. Last month their PlayStation network was hacked and well over 100 million online accounts were compromised. Now, on a much smaller scale, it seems the Sony Ericsson Canada eShop was also hacked. 2,000 Canadian customer email addresses and passwords were taken and Sony says no credit card information was swiped.
The Sony Ericcson Canada eShop has been shut down while they are fixing the security issue. If one would take the time to visit the site it reads “D’oh!. The page you’re looking for has gone walkabout. Sorry. Don’t worry though. We’ll help you get where you want to be.”
