TELUS will be launching their new “4G” network in March – this has peak download speeds of 42 megabits per second (Mbps). Many new devices are planned but TELUS is already actively testing Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology, which can reach download speeds well over 100 Mbps. Yesterday we were given a rare look inside their testing facility and captured a video showing a comparison of the current HSPA+ network to the upcoming LTE. Top download speed I saw was 73.9 Mbps (at the 13 second mark in the video).
