Pebble announced the Pebble Time Round, a follow-up to the popular original Pebble and Pebble Time smartwatches, back in September, promising it would be available in November.
Today, Pebble confirmed that shipments of the Time Round will leave its warehouse on November 8.
Those interested in purchasing the round watch can do so through Pebble’s online store with pricing starting at $249.99 (USD), but unfortunately, shipping is will take between four and six weeks. Best Buy Canada has both the black and white variants for $299.99 CAD, but they are only shipping on December 4th.
The Time Round features an all metal design with a 38.5mm watch face and 64-colour epaper display. In addition, the Time Round battery is only 7.5mm thick, splash resistant, and has a two-day battery life, but comes with quick charging capabilities. Pebble says a 15-minute charge will offer 24 hours worth of battery life.
Like the Pebble Time, the Pebble Time Round features a microphone for voice. In the past this feature has only been available with Pebble smartwatches paired with an Android smartphone, but starting with the Pebble Time Round, voice control is making its way to iOS. Unlike the Pebble Time, the Time Round is only splash resistant and not water resistant up to 30 metres.
As expected with Pebble smartwatches, Pebble Time Round runs Timeline and works with both iPhone and Android devices.
