Quick update regarding Bell’s LTE coverage area. According to an internal doc we received it shows that Bell will expand their LTE coverage in various locations in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan on June 21st:

– Kentville, NS
– Sydney, NS
– Fort Erie, ON
– Georgetown, ON
– Parry Sound, ON
– Simcoe, ON
– Drummondville, QC
– Weyburn, SK

With this expansion, Bell LTE network now reaches “more than 24 million Canadians.”

I think you meant it to read June 21st as per the Bell paper.

Kentville, NS is already turned on.

Telus, using Bell towers in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario shows LTE on my phone today

You’d think they’d do better fill in the larger cities before spending a few mil to serve a thousand people (like in simcoe).

      You’d hope, anyway.

Screw off Bell, I don’t even get your LTE service in the part of Toronto that I live, even ugh you promised it to me.

  • curtis

Yeah telus is live in Sydney which shares bell towers

LTE on Bell has been live in Kentville, NS for the past couple of weeks… managing around ~35 mbit on the download and ~20 mbit on the upload.

Still no lte in Parry Sound, even through the website shows its live….hmmm
