Gmail’s mobile web interface has been given a bit of an overhaul on iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Kindle devices to look more like its native iOS app.
The Gmail team reported on Google+ today that “since launching the rebooted Gmail app for iPhone and iPad in December, we’ve heard from many of you that you like the redesigned UI, along with new features such as improved search and integration with Google Calendar.”
Note that this is only the Gmail.com portal from the WebKit-enabled browser, and not new versions of the official Android, iOS and BlackBerry apps. It’s interesting to note that, likely because IE10 is not WebKit-based, these improvements do not affect Windows Phone devices at all.
