Why get this when the s3 is better?

As expected of a Samsung fanboy… There’s a thing called choice, we need more Android phones than ever before.

You get this instead of the S3 because the screen isn’t PenTile.

In this case I’d choose the One X.

Brad, if you complain about Pentile on a HD phone screen you have no clue.

Battery won’t last long on this big screen.

A little behind the times but seems decent. The only problem that I see off the bat is the meager battery size. Other than the Razr Maxx, Motorola has never been that great at including an adequate battery. I’m not sure why some manufacturers can fit a >2000 mAh battery in a phone with the same dimensions but they do. For that reason…. it isn’t really competition to the One X and definitely not for the S3.

What’s special about motorola (from my personal history with their phones like the Atrix and RAZR) is the great call quality you get. I tried the HTC One S not long time ago, and although the phone was fantastic, I wasn’t impressed with the call quality (which made me go back to my GS2). Motorola call quality is crystal clear (from my experience with the Atrix and RAZR).
also, beside motorola, who else puts HDMI out these days in their phones. That’s a big plus for me.

remember, different ppl have different needs and I am very excited to try this one out.

I got the original Bell Atrix on launch day. In the 13th month I had issues and returned it. The device had been abandoned and no longer available or supported so I received a Samsung Galaxy s2 which was immediately updated with ICS. I was a bit surprised at the short lifespan of a flagship device. I would have loved to get the s3…and I may when my wife’s Atrix dies.
