Bell’s Virgin Plus has changed its plans to match offers from Koodo and Fido.
Notably, Virgin hasn’t yet revealed its Black Friday offers, though I expect the new plans will carry through into Black Friday. Or should I say, new plan — Virgin has removed almost every plan except for a new $44/60GB offer and basic options like the $25 talk and text plan.
The new $44/60GB plan includes 4G LTE data with speeds capped at up to 150Mbps, unlimited Canada/U.S. calling and texting, and unlimited international texting sent from Canada.
Previously, Virgin’s $44/mo plan only included 20GB of 4G data and no Canada/U.S. calling, so this new plan is a decent upgrade, assuming you’re not in the market for a cheaper plan with less data.
Virgin also removed its $49/40GB and $54/20GB 4G plans and has stopped offering 5G plans entirely.
The new $44/60GB plan matches a plan Koodo launched in October and that Fido just added as part of its Black Friday offers. But here’s hoping Virgin drops some other Black Friday plans soon, because one $44/60GB plan isn’t great.
