Rogers is offering some Fido customers special migration plans like $55/120GB 5G and $70/150GB 5G with Canada/U.S./Mexico/Caribbean roaming.
A friend of mine discovered the plans when checking her Fido account and shared the deals with me. A pop-up in the Fido account alerted her to the $55/120GB plan, but when she clicked through to the Rogers page to set up her new plan, she also saw the $70 option.
The $55/mo plan typically costs $95/mo but this offer includes a $30/mo discount and another $10/mo autopay discount to lower the price. There was no specific end date for the plan listed on the Rogers page.
The plan includes 120GB of 5G data, with unlimited use beyond the 120GB at throttled speeds. Additionally, the plan features unlimited U.S. calling and 1,000 international long-distance minutes, though unfortunately, not full Canada/U.S. roaming.
Similarly, the $70 plan includes a $30/mo discount and $10/mo autopay discount. It normally costs $110/mo. The plan includes roaming for the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean and 1,000 international long-distance minutes. It includes 150GB of 5G data with unlimited use at throttled speeds beyond the cap.
Overall, these offers are pretty decent compared to what Rogers currently offers. The carrier doesn’t have a 120GB plan listed right now, with the closest being a $65/100GB plan. For the $70/150GB plan, the closest option would be the $80/150GB plan, which doesn’t have included roaming features, or the $100/175GB Canada/U.S./Mexico plan.
Ultimately, if you’re a Fido customer, you might want to check your account to see if you have any migration offers from Rogers — switching could net you a better plan.
