Koodo Mobile customers reporting LTE coverage in Kingston

LTE – Long Term Evolution – brings faster speeds. Over the past year we’ve seen Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Virgin, MTS and Fido all provide LTE service to their customers. With these faster speeds also comes more powerful devices, notedly the HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S III, Sony Xperia ion, and the BlackBerry PlayBook 4G LTE.

Back in June TELUS’ sub-brand Koodo Mobile was reportedly found testing an LTE network up in Aurora, Ontario, but they’ve yet to go live. From the looks of this screenshot is says testing is still happening, showing that LTE is active. The device that picked up the Koodo LTE coverage is an unlocked HTC One X located in Kingston, ON. Unfortunately there’s no official word from Koodo on when/if they plan to launch LTE service… so the best thing to do now is keep on checking your device for coverage zones.
