Windows Phone fans, rejoice! The Mango update, according to Customer Service Manager Eric Hautala, is going really well. So well, in fact, that after unleashing it on the public last week they are increasing the rate of release to to an eligible 50% of the total handset market. That means, by random, hundreds of thousands of new Windows Phone devices should be getting the Mango update today or tomorrow.
The Mango release adds some awesome functionality to the platform, including true multitasking, background tasks, Twitter integration, camera software improvements and a host of other speed increases that add to an already excellent OS. We’ve been using the update since its release last week and are very impressed so far.
