Surface Laptop leak

Hours ahead of Microsofts big education event in New York, images of what is rumoured to be the tech giant’s upcoming Surface Laptop of leaked online.

Notorious Microsoft leaker @hoxod has tweeted out images of the slim looking 13.5-inch laptop that will reportedly run Microsoft’s still unannounced Windows 10 S cloud-based operating system.

The device is tipped to come equipped with a touch sensitive PixelSense display, be available in four colours and will feature an covered keyboard — in the past Microsoft has used this material for a special edition of the Surface Pro 4’s Type Cover.

While still unconfirmed, these new leaks seem to be in line with what we’re expecting from Microsoft’s press conference.

Perhaps most interestingly, however, the renders of the Surface Laptop show off a minimal number of ports; only a Mini Display Port, SD card slot and one single USB port.

Unlike Apple’s MacBook line, USB-C does not seem to be included in Microsoft’s Surface laptop. MobileSyrup’s Rose Behar will be reporting on Microsoft’s education event direct from the keynote presentation in New York.
