Jim Mackey, the head of corporate development and strategy at BlackBerry, has left the company, according to Reuters.
Mackey confirmed his departure in an interview with the wire service. “It is true I left BlackBerry as of Feb. 13,” he said. He also recently updated his LinkedIn profile to reflect that he’s left the company.
BlackBerry, however, has yet to officially announce the departure. The company also did not respond to a request for comment from Reuters.
Mackey joined BlackBerry back in 2013. His position often called upon him to work directly with John Chen on the company’s strategy.
