Samsung Galaxy Note 7 now available in Canada

The device that many are calling the ‘best big phone’ on the market, the newly-released Samsung Galaxy Note 7, is now available in Canada at a wide range of retailers and carriers.

The 5.7-inch, iris-scanner toting handset is being stocked by Bell, Telus, Rogers, Wind, Eastlink, Videotron, Eastlink, SaskTel, and Koodo. The majority of carriers are selling the device at around $550 on a two-year plan, though the smartphone’s price dips as low as $0 at Eastlink. Outright, it costs $1049.99.

The device is also available at Best Buy, and unlocked online on Samsung Canada’s website.

Yesterday, the company hinted that stock might be limited due to the strong demand for pre-orders.

“Over the coming weeks, we’ll work with our valued carrier and retail partners to provide wide-reaching national retail availability,” stated a Samsung representative.

Update – August 24: MTS has officially released the Galaxy Note 7. The price is similar to competing carriers in Canada with the 2-year term at $549.99 and $1049.99 outright. The Manitoba-based carrier is only stocking the black version.
