Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo reportedly leaks next to Note 3 with near-identical design

As Samsung is wont to do, the Galaxy Note 3 is set to gain a slightly smaller, slightly less powerful sibling, the Exynos-powered Galaxy Note 3 Neo.

At 5.5-inches, Neo is not exactly a miniature Note 3, but the device, when it is released later this year, may bridge the gap between the cost and size while maintaining the useful S Pen functionality that customers enjoy. Specifically, the Note 3 Neo is expected to share many of the same specs as 2012’s Note 2, along with an updated design and faster CPU.

What’s interesting about the rumoured spec sheet is the potential hexacore CPU attached to the device: a 1.7Ghz dual-core Cortex-A15 chip along with a 1.3Ghz quad-core Cortex-A7 in big.LITTLE configuration. That, along with 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0, make it a thoroughly modern handset, though the 8MP rear camera is likely recycled from the Note 2 and Galaxy S3.

Whether the Galaxy Note 3 Neo comes to Canada will be up to the carriers, but considering the Galaxy Mega 6.3 is available, and the thirst for a lower-cost S Pen-enabled handset is high, chances are good.
