Lyft expands to Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan

A limited-time discount is also available for riders in these provinces

Lyft has expanded into Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan. Now, those in Halifax, Saskatoon and Regina can get around using the ride-hailing app.

To celebrate the launch, Lyft is offering 50 per cent off new riders’ first five rides in their first 14 days with the code NSSK50, up to a maximum of $10 in savings per ride.

Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan join Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Québec as provinces serviced by Lyft. The company adds that Canada is a particularly big market for its service, with rides in the country jumping 50 per cent year-over-year in Q1 2025 and 23 per cent year-over-year this past summer.

Those who ride with Lyft in Canada can also choose to round up their total and donate to charities like the Canadian Red CrossTrue Patriot Love FoundationFood Banks Canada and YMCA of Canada.

The Lyft app is available on iOS and Android.
