These features include sending messages over WhatsApp or playing specific music on Spotify. Of course, you can do some of these things right now, but instead of Gemini, it uses Google Assistant Actions. The change here is that Gemini gets these extensions, allowing for deeper integration and smoother interactions. It should also perform these tasks faster and work with Google Messages and Spotify.
Gemini will also learn the extensions you use for specific tasks, like calling or messaging contacts and knowing which apps you prefer using.
The feature is being tested, and it’s unclear when it will be released to the public. However, considering the leaker was able to activate it, it’s probably on its way.
