Publisher Square Enix has announced that Life is Strange will be making its way to Android in July. Pre-registration for the episodic adventure game is also now available in the Google Play Store.
Life is Strange came to iOS devices in December.
Developed by French studio Dontnod Entertainment, Life is Strange follows high school photography senior Max Caulfield as she reconnects with her childhood friend Chloe Price. Together, they embark on a desperate search for missing classmate Rachel Amber, discovering a dark secret to their town along the way.
All the while, Max must grapple with an inexplicable new ability to manipulate time, presenting her with difficult choices about how she should use this power during their investigation.
The Android version of Life is Strange will feature the full choice-driven experience found on other platforms, as well as the following mobile-only features:
- Full control support exclusive to Android players
- Enhanced user interface for full touch screen controls
- The ability to share game progress on social media and compare story choices with friends
- A new Photo Mode that lets players take pictures, edit them with filters and share them to social media
Android users can pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store through this link.
A Chloe-centric prequel series titled Before the Storm released last year on consoles, although it hasn’t yet made its way to mobile devices.
