According to BuzzFeed’s John Paczkowski, who was previously at AllThingsD and Recode, Apple will hold an event on September 9th where it will announce its newest iPhones.
“Sources familiar with Apple’s plans tell BuzzFeed News the company intends to hold a special event the week of September 7th, with Wednesday the 9th being the most likely date,” says Paczkowski. “September 9th is the same day on which Apple held this event last year.”
Apple is expected to unveil a follow-up to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, likely the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus with Force Touch. The event may also herald the introduction of a new Apple TV set-top box.
Apple declined to comment on the rumoured date and product releases.
