iPhone owners can at long last try out Google Cardboard.
Released today, Google Cardboard for iOS is compatible with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and comes preloaded with four virtual reality playgrounds.
Before joining in the fun, iPhone owners will need to get themselves a cardboard viewer. On the Cardboard website, there are instructions on how to create your own, and a shop to purchase a pre-made one.
Google Cardboard was created by two of the company’s engineers during their 20 per cent time, and shown off for the first time at last year’s I/O. In April, Google announced its Works for Cardboard initiative and an update to the platforms SDK. According to the company, an iOS compatible SDK is forthcoming.
