The WiFi model of the Nexus 9 has launched on the Canadian Google Play Store and orders are shipping in 1-2 days. It’s also available through Future Shop and Best Buy.
Though Google Canada has yet to confirm a pre-order date for the Nexus 6 beyond ‘early November’, the Nexus 9 is a different story. The device hit Google Play this morning priced at $429 for the 16GB WiFi model, or $529 for the 32GB WiFi model. The 32GB LTE version is still listed as ‘coming soon’ but will launch at $669.
The Nexus 9 was announced alongside the Nexus 6 in mid-October. This is Google’s first 8.9-inch tablet and the first manufactured by HTC. It boasts an 8.9-inch 2048 x 1536 IPS LCD panel and is powered by Nvidia’s 2.3 GHz 64-bit dual-core Tegra K1 chip with Kepler graphics. It also packs 2GB of RAM, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.6MP camera up front, HTC Boom Sound speakers, and a 6,700mAh battery.
