Samsung’s Galaxy Alpha, the company’s first phone to use a metal frame has arrived in Canada. Samsung announced early in September that the phone would arrive on September 26th.

No term pricing is $699.95, while on-contract pricing is $149.95 for a two-year commitment. Virgin Mobile is only $0.04 higher.
The Galaxy Alpha was announced ahead of IFA and boasts a 4.7-inch 1280×720 pixel Super AMOLED display, a 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 801 SoC, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB internal storage. Around back you’ve got a 12MP rear-facing camera with a 2MP camera up front. Software Android 4.4.4, and an 1860mAh battery. The frame is fashioned from metal and the device features the same dimpled plastic back we saw introduced on the Galaxy S5.
