Amazon has been rumoured to come to market with a new smartphone for a couple of years now, one that is expected to sport “six individual camera modules,” including “four front-facing infrared cameras” that will able to capture pictures in 3D.
We can all schedule a bit of time on June 18th as the company has declared plans to unveil new hardware, possibly a smartphone. Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos will lead the charge and show off its latest innovation, which according to the picture is a touchscreen device with a black backing. There is also a teaser video that reveals several reactions for people who’ve seen the mystery device, all boldly giving it praise: “It moved with me,” “That is awesome,” and “it’s very real life and incomparable to anything I’ve seen.”
The Amazon Phone is expected to come with a 4.7-inch 720p display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a customized version of Android.
