There is no denying the impact that Ted Rogers, the founder of Rogers Communications, had on Canada. Before he passed away in early December 2008 he built up a media empire that consisted of several radio stations, a cable television network, a wireless network, various multi-media assets such as magazines and online properties, plus the Toronto Blue Jays baseball club.
A 12-foot bronze statue of Edward S. “Ted” Rogers will be placed outside 5 and 6 at the Rogers Centre. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 23 at 5PM and in attendance to pay tribute to the one-time visionary will be members of the Rogers family, Rogers CEO Nadir Mohamed, The Tenors, and others. Nice way to honour his legacy.
