Bell will be going live with their LTE (Long Term Evolution) network in Barrie, Ontario tomorrow. With LTE enabled you’ll have access to devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Note, HTC Raider, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the upcoming Galaxy S III. In addition, this brings download speeds of up 75 Mbps “when in this area.” The coverage map has been on the Bell site for a few weeks and looks to cover a good distance (pictured below). Barrie now joins other Canadian cities that have LTE coverage, including Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Hamilton, Halifax, Guelph and Muskoka.
Update: Barrie is now live, coverage map is below. In addition, Bell states that their LTE coverage now reaches “over 10 million Canadians and is continuously expanding to provide the ultimate speeds across Canada.”
