The triumphant day of iOS 5 is here, and while for many it is a cause for celebration, for countless others it has become a lesson in frustration. We are receiving word that due to an overwhelming demand on Apple’s restore servers, which authenticate each device before it allows a new version of iOS to be loaded, many users are receiving an Error 3200, among others.
While the fix for this may just be patience and dumb luck, others have found placing the device into Restore Mode or DFU mode before manually upgrading has done the trick. While there is no official word from Apple yet on the cause of the error, the company’s forums, along with Twitter and Facebook, are lighting up complaining able Error #3200. The hashtag “#Error #3200” is even trending worldwide. Many iPhone users, and to a lesser extent iPad users, are stuck with non-functioning devices as they wait for the upgrade to complete.
Are you experiencing this, or any other error related to the iOS 5 install? If so, let us know in the comments.
