WIND Mobile has added another Android-powered device to their lineup. Their first was the Huawei U8100 and now they have added one they can currently call their flagship Android device. The Motorola XT720 comes with OS 2.1, 720 mHz processor and a well equipped 8 megapixel camera that can record 720p videos, a Xenon flash, auto-focus.
As for the design, it’s sleek and feels good in the hand. The colour is metallic gray on the front with a navy blue backing. The XT720 weighs in at 160 grams and has overall dimensions of 116 x 60.0 x 10.9 mm. In the video I put it next to the iPhone (a device that people generally know the feel of) and it’s slightly bigger in all areas. The display is 3.7-inch display has a resolution of 854×480 and viewing your pics/videos come out nicely. Even typing e-mails is good on this as the virtual QWERTY keyboard comes out well space. The only downside of the display is the sheer amount of fingerprints it captures. Not the biggest concern, but something to be aware of.
As for other features of the hardware, the XT720 has the standard capacitive buttons you’d on any Android touchscreen: menu, home, back and search. Along the left hand side is a microUSB port and the top is the HDMI output, 3.5 mm headset jack with the power/lock button. The right hand side has the volume rocker with a dedicated camera button and shutter. When you lift up the back plate you’ll reveal the 1390mAh battery, SIM card slot and microSD slot (can hold up to 32GB).
