“Rogers Navigator for iPhone” launching March 26th

Rogers will be launching another app specifically designed for the iPhone. Their first was the “MyAccount” app. We’ve been tipped that Rogers will be launching the “Rogers Navigator for iPhone” that will give turn by turn directions. Perfect timing with all the laws that ban the use of hand held devices while driving.

This will be available on March 26th and will not be a free app, customers who download will be charged $4.99 per month. We’re told that other app features include:
- Voice turn by turn directions
- Enter addresses or commands by speaking them
- Real time traffic alerts
- One touch reroute
- 2D or 3D maps
- Business finder
- Integration with address books
- Listen to music while navigating
- Works with Bluetooth

(The screenshot attached is not the Rogers app, but will probably be something close to it)

  1. I can tell you right now that this will fail horribly, I don’t even need to go into details

  2. Last year I bought the Tom Tom app for $100.It worked crappy. You would lose the GPS signal all the time,Witch is when you need it the most.It also chews up your battery power BIG TIME. I since deleted that app and bought a stand alone GPS witch never loses the signal and works a million times better.

  5. How can you say nobody will buy this? $5 compared to $50-$80; I’ll give it a shot.
