Where to stream The Brutalist in Canada

The film just picked up three Oscars, including Best Actor for Adrien Brody

The Brutalist Adrien Brody

The Brutalist had a solid showing at the 2025 Oscars, winning three awards overall.

The acclaimed epic period drama took home hardware for Best Actor (Adrien Brody), Best Cinematography (Lol Crawley) and Best Original Score (Daniel Blumberg). Brody also gave the longest-ever Oscars acceptance speech at 5 minutes and 40 seconds, according to the Guinness World Records.

Co-written and directed by Brady Corbet, the acclaimed A24 film follows a visionary architect who escapes the Holocaust and attempts to rebuild his life in America.

If you’re wondering what the fuss is all about, your options to watch the film are a little limited — at least, if you don’t like going out for movies. That’s because it’s not yet on any subscription video on demand service (SVOD) like Prime Video or Netflix and doesn’t currently have a confirmed premiere date for one.

Instead, you can either watch The Brutalist in Cineplex, Landmark or Imagine Cinemas movie theatres or rent or purchase the film from premium video on demand (PVOD) platforms like Apple TV, Google Play and Prime Video.

The Oscars took place on Sunday, March 2 and we have a full breakdown of how to watch it in Canada. We also have resources on how to stream some of the other big Oscar films, including Best Picture winner Anora, as well as WickedConclaveEmilia PérezDune: Part Two and The Substance.
