Telus-owned Koodo has followed after Rogers’ Fido and Bell’s Virgin Plus in killing off its remaining Lunar New Year deal and upping prices by $5.
Koodo’s $40/60GB Lunar New Year plan is now $45/50GB, while the provider’s $50/75GB plan now costs $55.

Beyond the prices, the plans haven’t changed. The prices still include a $5/mo autopay discount, the plans are still locked to 4G data speeds capped at up to 100Mbps, and they still include unlimited Canada-wide calling and texting. Additionally, Koodo offers customers a free perk option like premium voicemail, international texting or rollover data.
Notably, Fido brought back worse data bonuses yesterday, so Koodo’s plans are worse overall than Fido’s. Not that Fido’s plans are great when you look beyond the flanker brands.
Freedom Mobile may have just raised its prices, but its plans still outpace Koodo, Fido and Virgin Plus when it comes to value. For example, Freedom now has a $39/60GB 5G+ Canada/U.S./Mexico plan, a much better offer than Koodo’s $45/60GB 4G plan.
