CyanogenMOD has steadily been moving towards mainstream acceptance as custom ROMs become easier to install and more accessible to the average Android user.
The latest effort from the team is one that will likely spur growth considerably: the download portal has been improved with a much-needed visual overhaul, allowing users to identify their handsets from among 200 devices currently supported by the project. Each listing links to the latest stable or nightly build, and gives quick access to the Wiki page for each device.
The new portal, which is currently in beta, is also easier to navigate on phones, welcome news for anyone who wants to cut out the PC middleman.
