A few months ago a picture surfaced of what claimed to be an upcoming Microsoft Office for iPad app. Unfortunately, nothing has come of it since and even Microsoft was quick to state the image was a fake and it was based “bad info.” Today a new rumour suggests this app is indeed in the works and coming to both iOS and Android. According to a report in BGR they’re stating that the apps will potentially be available to download sometime around November, but no indication of the price. Apparently the source says they’ve seen Microsoft Office running on an iPad, but the boot up screen showed “Office for iOS,” so we could possibly see it be available on the iPhone and iPod Touch. The other info regarding Android is that it’s only coming to tablets, not smartphones.
